William Eulass

Early Clearcreek Township Settler

William Eulass was born in Kentucky. As a young man, he was one of the first settlers in Clearcreek Township, Warren County around the year 1797. He had a general store in raysville and was there for several years. In 1846, he was elected Sheriff of Warren County. At that time, he moved from Ridgeville to Lebanon. In 1850, after he served his term of Sheriff, he moved back to his farm near Ridgville. He was well respected in the whole area and accumulated approximately 260 acres of land during his life time. He lived to be 82 years of age and passed away in Lebanon, Ohio. He is buried in the Schoolhouse cemetery in Clearcreek Township, just North of Ridgeville.
